Departing from the Grand Canyon airport at the South Rim, this air tour takes in some of the best sights at the Canyon. Lasting 45 to 50 minutes, it crosses over Zuni Point and then flies through the Zuni corridor.
You will see Desert View, the Painted Desert and the Navajo Reservation to the east while the plane follows a route over the Colorado River. At Temple Butte you change course, and head for the North Rim, taking in the Kaibab Plateau and the Kaibab National Forest. Point Imperial, the highest point on the North Rim can also be seen. This tour departs approximately every hour, but advance reservations are suggested, especially at the middle of the day.
